October 10, 2014 | D&LJennifer Ellison returns to your screens for a UK takeover of hit US show Dance Moms!
Taking a leaf out of dance studio owner, choreographer and TV star Abby Lee Miller’s book, Jennifer hits Lifetime TV network with Dance Mums, a dance show based on the US favourite.
‘Dance World Champion Title winner, Jennifer Ellison runs her school with an iron tap shoe. She cares for the girls as if they were her own – but pushes them to the limits as they compete for greatness.’
With the first episode airing on October 20th at 9pm GMT, inspiration is taken from the show, as it follows Pittsburgh’s Abby Lee Dance Company and its competition team. Along with the comments of competitive dance mothers, the talent of an elite team and coverage of their time in training and performing at local and national competitions, the show serves for great weekly viewing.
‘With a background in performing arts, Jennifer finds a base in Liverpool for her Dance Academy girls, as they compete against the best at national level, with an ultimate goal to get to The Dance World Cup in Portugal.
‘This show brings unfiltered passion, jaw-dropping talent and great British humour together as Jennifer, her girls – and their mums, compete for the ultimate dance title.’
Plus catch a one off special where Jennifer met Abby during her time in London on the Dance Mums tour! Watch the moment the two meet in a special Dance Mums: Abby Meets Jennifer on Monday October 13th at 8.30pm GMT.
