Almost Famous: Kojo Hits The Road With UK Tour

August 15, 2014 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-Ellis

Following a sell out showing of his self written play Above Romance at Hackney’s Empire, Kojo hits the road with his new comedy tour, Almost Famous!

Known as ‘one of the most famously unfamous comedians in the UK’, the stand up comedian, actor and radio personality will be touring the UK as of October 4th in a sketch that sees the funny in almost being famous.

‘Kojo is responsible for the resurgence of urban comedy after the Real McCoy era showcasing comedians at his comedy fun house club for ten years, which also had comedians such as Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle and Kevin Hart grace the stage. Kojo has written his very first short film Wasteman Diaries and theatre production Above Romance.’

In 15 years, Kojo has also enjoyed success with a national CBBC show with Reggie Yates, 3 comedy shows on MTV base including 2007’s Fresh Prince Of Hackney, sold out Hackney Empire on numerous occasions and appeared in movies (It’s A Lot, The Knot)! He can also be heard every morning on Capital Xtra with co-host Jade, for the nation’s much loved wake up call.

Having also gone international with NBC’s Last Comic Standing and most recently Nick Cannon’s Wild’n Out Series, this hard working entrepreneur continues to amaze his following with his positive views and dedication to his work ethic.

‘Having achieved all of the above, he still can’t get guest list at a bloody night club because he’s considered almost famous. Well that’s about to change…’.

Tickets available today;

October 19th- London Hackney Empire

*October 24th- Manchester Dance House Theatre (Revised date)
