April 20, 2015 | D&LCinderella and Mulan aren’t the only Disney movies to be updated, as Beauty and the Beast is next in line!
With a trend seeming to be formed, modern versions of childhood favourites for many are being revamped for today’s young audiences and with that being said, actors and actresses are now being given the opportunity to feature in movies from their childhood years.
Josh Gad couldn’t help contain his excitement for the pending movie, as he jumped on social media to share a photo with cast members including Emma Watson and Kevin Kline. So what can we expect from the movie?
Well Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens will star in the Hollywood version in the role of the Prince, alongside Belle (Emma Watson), whilst Luke Evans will play the role of Gaston.
With cast members already getting into character, Gaston is currently the popular hit at Disney World resorts, giving Luke a tough act to follow. Thought to still be maintaining its musical theme, Sir Ian McKellen will also be adding his magic to the fairytale, as he portrays the butler turned clock, Cogsworth!
Who knows, with Cinderella inspiring jewellery collections and designer glass slippers, Beauty and the Beast keep sakes could soon be making their way into your fashion news segment.
With this great line up, it sounds like Beauty and the Beast will be giving Cinderella a run for its money in the award winning stakes.
