The Beckhams are no strangers to the fashion world and they continue to make the headlines this week.
Firstly, David and Victoria were spotted at London Fashion Week Men (LFWM) this weekend attending their favourite shows, but they were also there for a more personal gig; the launch of David’s very own (part-owned) fashion collection!
David has teamed up with men’s clothing store, Kent & Curwen, for the David Beckham Collection, the first of many since he invested in the brand in November last year.
When speaking of the latest collection, which saw a selection of stripes, sharp cut jackets, blazers and more, David said: “So much is happening in the world right now, I felt that we should be proud of where we come from. I wanted to reinforce that sense of history and heritage that we’ve had since 1926.
“The Union Jack, the English rose the Three Lions… those things mean something to people.”
Messages of unity and leadership also played a key part in the fashion show, with uniformed looks and representation of team spirit.
“I’ve been in teams for the last 30 years. It feels natural to me. It feels right for Kent & Curwen to take that approach, to keep it authentic and natural.”
Now, since the launch of the collection, the SS18 LFWM collection has been modelled by none other than his son, Romeo.
The 14-year-old wore an oversized grey jumper from the collection with embroidery and button detail, completing the smart look with a fitted white shirt and black jeans.
It’s no surprise he’s a lover of fashion as both his parents have the designer occupation under their belt!
