June 24, 2014 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-EllisCapital Xtra’s DJ Abrantee is set to make his Afrobeats debut at Glastonbury!
Continuing to push the genre on a UK scale and increase its popularity outside of its origin on the continent of Africa, the DJ and radio presenter can be seen on the Silver Hayes stage at the Worthy Farm, Somerset held festival on Sunday June 29th at 6.30pm.
‘Making his debut appearance at the already sold out festival, DJ Abrantee will go down an absolute storm at Glastonbury. This will inevitably open a wave of opportunities for the artists whose music will be played during Abrantee’s 2 hour set on stage of the biggest festival in the world.’
DJ Abrantee will also be presenting Afrobeats at the Essex Music Festival on July 20th alongside other scheduled performers, including Jhene Aiko and Wizkid.
“It has been a very exciting year so far and this announcement tops it all off as the Festival celebrates 44 years this month,” Abrantee said. “So you can imagine how thrilled I am to be a part of the biggest festival in the world for the first time.”
Congratulations DJ Abrantee!
