January 13, 2015 | D&LWith a 10 year anniversary approaching, The Game has a lot to celebrate. This month marks 10 years since the release of his debut album, The Documentary, and to say it did well is an understatement.
The album debuted at number one on Billboard 200 with an impressive 586,000 copies sold in the first week and The Game’s album was certified two times Platinum in 2005!
So, in honour of this milestone, The Game will be hosting an anniversary concert on January 18th (the official release date of the album) at LA’s Belasco Theatre.
Throughout the night, The Game will be performing ‘the disc in its entirety’, including the album’s top hits, plus some special guests and a few surprises!
Hit singles to come from the album included ‘Westside Story’, ‘How We Do’, ‘Hate It Or Love It’, ‘Dreams’ and ‘Put You On The Game’, with the first three singles featuring 50 Cent.
The Documentary is still considered to be a huge classic to rap fans, so it’s no wonder that The Game will be releasing a sequel to this album later on in the year.
“I’m going back to the Just Blazes, Scott Storches, the Dr. Dre’s,” said Game. “We gon’ get it handled.”
Tickets are available today.
