April 23, 2017 | D&LIt has been confirmed that Fast & Furious 10 will mark the end of the incredibly large franchise movie.
Following the continued success of the latest movie, there have already been talks of number 9 and 10; where the last one will also mark the 20th anniversary of the series.
When speaking about the future movies, producer Neal Moritz said: “We kind of have the ending point of the franchise, but we don’t know the in-betweens yet.”
Although news has broke about these two movies, there is still a way to go where release dates are confirmed as number 9 is set for a 2019 release (April 19th) and 10 to be released in 2021 (April 2nd).
Moritz continued to say: “We’re going to lean into Han’s death. We haven’t forgotten about it. We’re going to investigate all of that.”
We’re certainly intrigued to see where else this storyline will go.
There have also been talks about Jason Statham and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson having their very own Fast & Furious spin off show. The side adventure ‘sounds like a twist on the classic buddy cop formula’ where the pair will have to work together against a joint foe.
But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s focus on how incredibly well movie number 8 – The Fate of the Furious – is currently doing, breaking box office records in cinemas worldwide. It’s amazing to see after so many releases.
