October 16, 2014 | D&LEver since Joan Rivers’ passing, there have been many rumours surrounding the future of the hit show, Fashion Police. Now, Kelly Osbourne has set the record straight on celebrities including NeNe Leakes and Kathy Griffin taking the role of Joan.
“Every day I wake up to another rumour of somebody and it’s not fair to them because you’re basically saying they have these massive shoes to fill,” said Kelly.
“I don’t even think that a discussion has been had yet about any specific person. All we know is that the show is going to have a lot of similarities but it’s going to be a new form of Fashion Police. I am going back and no one is replacing Joan.”
Joan was a pivotal part of the hit fashion show and co-stars Giuliana Rancic, George Kotsiopoulos and Kelly discussed all things fashion and style focusing on celebrity’s outfit choices at awards shows, movie premieres and throughout their daily outings.
The first show aired back in 2010 and with their leading lady no longer around, it’s going to take some time for the team to adjust.
“People don’t realise we spent 52 weeks a year with each other for the last four and half years – going on five – and to wake up every day and have one of the biggest parts of your life not there, and I’m still doing those things where I’m like “Oh I gotta tell… Oh, never mind” – and then you find yourself in floods of tears.
“But this is all part of it and the one thing I can always take away is what Joan taught me, and that is that we are so lucky, we have a job and it is amazing.”
And that job is what they continue to do!
*UPDATE Kathy Griffin has been confirmed as the new host of Fashion Police.
