Frank Ocean To Release ‘Forrest Gump’ Visual

January 29, 2013 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-Ellis

Who can’t get enough of Frank Ocean? We’re pretty sure the majority are with us on this one when we say he made our summer of 2012, with the sounds of his debut solo album Channel Orange.

Today the Grammy nominee looks forward to the big night where he will be performing as well as waiting to hear whether he will be taking home one or two Grammy awards, as he has received nominations for Record (‘Thinkin’ Bout You’) and of course Album of the Year.

Anticipating the night’s events is not the only thing Frank’s been up to of late, as he is currently filming for his latest video release to accompany his single ‘Forrest Gump’.

Taking on a high school feel with the inclusion of cheerleaders and sportsmen, Frank once again puts his own signature style into his attire, but also adds some Forrest Gump flair to his look, emulating the fictional character and his song subject.

Remembering his love for a particular male, Frank makes reference to his ‘Forrest Gump’ and the character’s ability to run fast translating to the image of his past love running through his mind.

With his bright yellow suit, deserted, sunny location and unique sense of story telling, we look forward to seeing his next video release.
