January 21, 2013 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-EllisNew Zealand born singer Gin Wigmore is set to make her mark on the UK, as she joins Train on their February UK tour.
Supporting the Grammy Award winning group who recently released their popular single ‘Drive By’, tour stops will see the well established artist of Auckland open six dates, as she formerly introduces herself and the reason for her great awards to date.
Although she may be a new face to UK and US audiences, Gin’s 2009 album Holy Smoke is now 5x platinum and has also earned the singer title of Best Pop Album, Album of the Year and the Highest Selling Album in New Zealand.
Audience members will hear tracks from the high achieving album, along with singles such as ‘Man Like That’ from her 2012 album release Gravel & Wine. Avid advert watchers may recognise the song as the soundtrack to the Heineken James Bond 007 TV advert.
