July 30, 2012 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-EllisWe can definitely say that this weekend was taken over by new music from Rick Ross. His much anticipated album God Forgives, I Don’t doesn’t officially drop until tomorrow but since some tracks were leaked online, fans have been wasting no time in downloading them and the radio stations have been going mad by adding their favourite songs to their show-playlist.
So the day before the album’s official release, the Teflon Don has debuted the video for ‘Hold Me Back’, a black and white video where the scenes were captured on the streets of New Orleans. And here’s the reason he chose this city…
“We went to New Orleans to capture that essence,” said Ross. “I feel like New Orleans has been through it a lot, more than the majority of others, and they’re still strong, they’re still standing, they still got that pride.”
And these elements of pride are reflected in the lyrics of this track as well as the scenes in this video. Take a look for yourself. Here’s ‘Hold Me Back’.
