Iggy Azalea: From Changing Hip-Hop To Joining The Fashion World

February 2, 2015 | D&L

Iggy Azalea has faced many comments about the records she has produced lately and her existence in the hip-hop genre, but whose side are you on, Iggy’s or the ones against her?

The race card has been brought up a few times as well as her trying too hard to be American – giving her Australian roots – but on the other side of the argument, isn’t everyone free to be who they want to be?

But on the flip side, fellow artists such as Nicki Minaj believe you don’t have to have much substance to your music and lyrics these days to release music. If you look back at prestigious artists such as N.W.A., Wu-Tang Clan, Jay-Z, Common, Queen Latifah and Lady of Rage, do you think the standards are the same?

Moving away from the subject of music, Iggy has revealed her debut collection with shoe designer Steve Madden. She took to social media to speak about her new fashion collaboration.

“I absolutely love these images, they are from the shoot I directed for my Steve Madden campaign,” she said. “I’m incredibly proud of the shoes we’ve made together, as well as these images that I’ve been anxiously waiting to share with you all.

What do you think of her latest project?

Reclassified is out now.
