May 13, 2014 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-EllisFollowing the news of Jennifer Lopez being honoured with a Billboard Icon Award this year and the star releasing the album title and image cover of her up coming album AKA, we now have a little more insight into the new album itself.
Iggy Azalea has revealed that she has previously been in the studio with JLo, working on a new track that will feature on the new album. Now, usually a collaboration takes a number of months to organise as artist’s schedules have to coincide with each other but in this situation, that wasn’t the case at all.
“She actually only asked me about two weeks ago,” said Iggy. “So I didn’t have to keep the secret for too long. When I opened on tour for Beyonce I had to keep that under wraps for months, which really killed me. So this is a breeze.”
Like many young girls, when Jennifer Lopez was highly referred to as Jenny From The Block, Iggy was a huge fan and now to be working with one lady she looked up to as child, is a huge achievement.
“I definitely used to sit in my bedroom as a young girl and lip-sync Jennifer Lopez songs, so it’s very cool to have a song with her on her album. We can’t wait to hear the track!
In the meantime, check out Iggy’s very own hit song, ‘Fancy’.
