December 18, 2012 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-Ellistars of the music world have come together to raise funds for the victims’ families of the Hillsborough tragedy that occurred back in 1989.
This year, the disaster was back in the news as new evidence and failures of the day came to light, with apologies being given to the families of the 96 football fans who lost their lives due to the occurrences in the Stadium that day.
Covering The Hollies hit ‘He Aint Heavy, He’s My Brother’, singers such as Sir Paul McCartney, Mel C, Rebecca Ferguson and Robbie Williams can be heard and seen featuring in the song’s video, of which all proceeds will go towards the legal costs of families affected fighting for justice.
Due to the story’s background and the meaning behind the cover, we think this would be the perfect Christmas number one.
Here’s ‘He Aint Heavy, He’s My Brother’.
