July 9, 2014 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-EllisIt seems the story of Harry Potter isn’t quite over yet as author and writer, JK Rowling, has now released a short online story where a 34-year-old Harry Potter is seen attending the Quidditch World Cup!
Based in the year 2014, JK Rowling has clearly been inspired by the World Cup currently taking place in Brazil and has created her very own version of events around one of the biggest sporting events of the year. The story is made up of 1,500 words and it is available to read exclusively on her Pottermore.com website.
‘Rowling will tell the story from the point of view of character Rita Skeeter, a gossip journalist for the fictional Daily Prophet newspaper, in the form of Quidditch match reports and articles surrounding the World Cup’.
So if you’ve been a fan of the stories from the very beginning, you can now dive into the adult world of Harry Potter, Ginny Weasley, Hermione Granger, Luna Lovegood and Neville Longbotom, as they experience a new adventure.
Also, look out for the future Harry Potter spin-off titled Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. The first of this spin-off series is to hit cinemas in November 2016.
