October 13, 2013 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-EllisThis year saw JLS announce their decision to bring their union as a band to an end, but as sad as the news was for their fanbase, they’re not leaving the music business without revealing their farewell gift to you all.
Aston, JB, Marvin and Oritse are not only ending the year with their last UK tour and a farewell album, but are also releasing a new single, ‘Billion Lights’ which will be available to buy on November 10th.
As they return for the last time, this new track has been described as a ‘straight up banger’ with an electric edge, allowing the fellas to ‘bow out with an uplifting tune’.
‘During their time as JLS, the boys have taken home two Brit Awards, five MOBO Awards, four Digital Music Awards and three Urban Music Awards. Collectively Aston, Marvin, JB and Oritsé have sold six million records in the last ten years and are one of only four acts (the others are the Spice Girls, Take That and 1D) to sell out ten dates at the O2.’
Achieving four best selling albums; JLS, Outta This World, Jukebox and Evolution, will this last release be their fifth? Creating an album of best memories with the fans in mind, the project will include best hits and last ‘magic touches’ to make their final goodbye a memorable one.
Due out November 18th, we’re sure Goodbye- The Greatest Hits will definitely be a must have purchase for many, as we bring 2013 to a close and buyers can look forward to ‘a whole host of falsettos and a smorgasbord of the great producers the band has worked with from Rodney Jerkins to The Runners, Steve Mac, Wayne Hector and BeatGeek.’
JLS’ final headlining UK tour will kick off December 1st in Belfast and end December 22nd in London.
