March 9, 2017 | D&LUS artist, Joey Bada$$, has announced the release of his second studio album, and it’s set to be a striking and powerful project, as he addresses the current state of the world from his own point of view.
Having now shared the visual for his new track, ‘Land of the Free’, a video which he co-directed with Nathan Smith (D.R.A.M., Goldlink), the release is the lead single from his new project and brand new album, All-Amerikkkan Bada$$, out April 7th.
Showing a group of black people being led by Joey through mountainous landscapes, the single’s visual will have you hooked as things come to a climax with a standoff between Joey’s group and white authoritarian figures.
Making his voice heard through his music, Joey touches on the current political climate in America, a topic that has led him to reveal his own thoughts and opinions, and the result is set to be a very honest, straight talking and thought provoking release.
Following what was a breakout year for Joey in 2016, the Brooklyn rapper, actor and businessman had success with his single ‘Devastated’, which recently went Gold in the US, was seen on primetime TV in his debut as Leon in the award winning series, Mr Robot, celebrated his main stage debut at Coachella, and was also seen in ad campaigns for Calvin Klein, and Adidas.
All-Amerikkan Bada$$ is the follow up to 2015’s B4.Da.$$, and is available for pre order today.
