November 7, 2014 | D&L

Kendrick Lamar will be following in the footsteps of recent Saturday Night Live (SNL) features, as his turn awaits him this month!

In recent weeks, Iggy Azalea, Chris Rock and Prince have presented and performed on the popular Saturday night entertainment show, and with Kendrick’s new music video ‘i’ now having made its debut, what better time and place to perform the motivational single live?

Sharing the words ‘I love myself’ and encouraging others to do the same, the rapper is currently working on his follow up album to the successful good kid m.A.Ad city. Acting as the first official single from the new project, ‘i’ is thought to be the first of many inspirational and lyrically gaging tracks to come.

Sampling The Isley Brothers, Kendrick said “…when I came across the record and realized it hadn’t been touched, I said ‘Okay, I want to put my twist on it”‘.

Insisting the album is ‘almost there’ although not yet having a title name or release date, Kendrick is sure about one thing; this new project will not just be a new album, the technical and mastermind attributes of his work will create a body of work.
