The news comes after the model was lucky enough to feature in two of Calvin Klein’s latest advertising campaigns; an opportunity Kenya was extremely grateful to get.
“It was an honour to do it for Calvin Klein,” she said, as she went on to comment on the easy going work relationship she struck up with the team. “That same sort of closeness and easy atmosphere lent itself to the campaign as well,” a factor, which definitely shines through in the end product.
With House of Harlow being Nicole Richie’s jewellery line, the close working relationship is bound to be reflected on her latest project too, as Kenya’s father, Quincy Jones, is in fact Nicole’s godfather. Individual shots of the two can be seen, as well as of the two posing together and upon seeing the preview, there’s no denying their sisterly bond.
The preview now sees Kenya as the new face of the Spring and Fall collections, similar to the role she had in the Calvin Klein jeans advert, making her the perfect choice.
“Kenya embodies the spirit of House of Harlow 1960,” Nicole said, as she shared her thoughts on Kenya being her number one choice. “She is exotic, alluring, elegant, and totally true to herself.” These are definitely the attributes that come to mind when we think of the brand’s trademark Bohemian style.
Expect to see lots of gold, with the presence of arrowheads, coins, crystals and a ‘modern gypsy vibe’ throughout, as you’re encouraged to be artistic, embrace your free spirit and remember, it’s all about the layers.
Now reaching out to the European market and moving towards a bigger presence of pop up shops in the US, who knows what’s next for this ever growing brand.
