July 1, 2016 | D&LChris Brown is forever evolving with his music and this time around he has returned with some of his favourite collaborators, Section Boyz (‘Whippin’), Wizkid (‘African Bad Girl’) and Hoody Baby (‘I Need Love’ and ‘Substance’).
Collectively they now feature on Brown’s latest single release ‘Shabba’, where we hear a nice mix of Brown’s rapping and singing vocals, amongst the unique style of African, UK and US hip-hop delivery.
There is no doubt that on the first listen, the chorus has you hooked and you’re focused on when each artist takes over from the mic, but Brown and the guys included, all make each verse their own, which is what makes the track work. Once the beat drops, you can feel the energy in the lyrics, so you can only imagine what this song will be like when performed live!
Produced by Mike WiLL Made-It, check out Chris Brown, Section Boyz, Wizkid and Hoody Baby on ‘Shabba’, with the idea of the opening lyrics inspired by dancehall artist, Shabba Ranks.
