A new song from Rita Ora has come to light and it’s also one of the soundtrack songs to Gina Prince-Bythewood’s (writer and director of Love & Basketball) new film, Beyond The Lights.

The romantic drama focuses on the story of Noni, ‘the music world’s latest superstar,’ as she battles the pressures of fame. You will also see Noni’s growing relationship with Kaz Nicol and the struggles they face together with their career ambitions and romance.

Que Rita Ora as she has taken on the song ‘Grateful’, which was written by American songwriter Diane Warren who has received many Academy Award nominations and a Golden Globe Award for her winning songs.

“Gina Prince-Bythewood (director) made an amazing movie that shows what really goes on beyond the lights of fame,” said Diane. “I’m so proud of it and Rita Ora did an amazing vocal. I am so happy she had me write this song. I think it can be a career song for her.

“It shows a whole different side to her and I’m hoping we get to hear it all over the radio and see her sing it on the Oscars next year!”

Diane certainly has high hopes for Rita and with the movie being released on November 14th featuring Danny Glover, Minnie Driver, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Nate Parker, and with Laurieann Gibson as choreographer for Gugu’s character, this movie is set to be one not to miss.

In other news, Rita is also working on her next album to follow Ora, which will be released early next year featuring a mix of vocals and production from Diplo, DJ Mustard, Macklemore, Prince, will.i.am, Calvin Harris and Jay-Z.

Here is ‘Grateful’ and the movie trailer for Beyond The Lights.
