July 14, 2017 | D&LWith an upcoming compilation album due out next month, who better than Charlie Sloth to have on this week’s anthem spot?
Joining him on new track, ‘Walk Away’, is none other than Donaeo and Konshens, on a track that brings the Caribbean vibes of Jamaica, as well as a British flow from one of Grime’s favourite artists.
Following single releases ‘#FameGame’ with Bugzy Malone, ‘Wake Up’ featuring Giggs, and ‘Running’ with Ghetts and Abra Cadabra, this new track shows the variety of sounds in which Charlie works with and what to expect from his upcoming album.
The Plug, is due out on August 18th and is in fact the first collection he has compiled that is produced by himself.
Available to pre-order now, the producer, DJ and Grime connoisseur, spoke on his experience working with Donaeo.
“Donaeo is such a creative guy and a great person to work with in the studio, and we’d already cut seven records together,” he said.
“I was like, look man, we’re turning out these records for fun, it’s just too easy. Let’s do something that’s challenging to us both, but that still means something to our world.”
Did you know the Reggae Summer smash in the making with the Jamaican dancehall artist was penned as an immediate lead from the album, as soon as Charlie heard it back with Konshens’ vocals added?
Proving as something that’s different to anything he’s released before, the end result definitely excited the extra DJ.
Here’s ‘Walk Away’.
