July 10, 2015 | D&LYesterday saw the likes of Chromeo and Odesza hit the stage to bring in Somerset House’s Summer Series, with the festival following last weekend’s Wireless 10 celebrations.
The event’s headline acts include Gary Clark Jr., Passenger, Chronixx, George Ezra, Nick Mulvey, Angus & Julia Stone, James Bay, Kwabs and Belle and Sebastian, with Jessie J closing the event on July 19th with support from Sinead Harnett.
Currently on a mini tour and taking the Summer vibes of Jamaica with him on his travels is Chronixx (Jamar Rolando McNaughton Jr), who as one of the Caribbean Island’s biggest selling artists at present, will perform to a sell out crowd this Sunday, with support from Dre Island.
Also hitting up Leeds, Glasgow and Bristol, Chronixx’s fusion of Reggae and dancehall music sees him speak the truth and he isn’t afraid to set his own trends in the meanwhile. Expect to hear tracks such as ‘Odd Ras’, ‘Smile Jamaica’ and ‘Who Knows’, if you’re joining the young artist. Let’s hope he brings the climate of the Caribbean with him to Sunday’s outdoor event.
Here’s your weekend anthem with Chronnix alongside Protoje.
