L’ART’s Weekend Anthem With Jason Derulo

March 27, 2015 | D&L

If you struggle to get a song out of your head, 90% of the time it’s because it’s a catchy song that you enjoy listening to and that’s why Jason Derulo takes our weekend anthem spot this week.

His new single ‘Want To Want Me’ has already been referred to as his best single yet and we just might have to agree, as from the first listen, we were drawn in by the laid back beat and Jason’s ability to show off his high vocal range.

With a tone that reminded us of Robin Thicke’s earlier sound – that smooth voice and lyrical arrangement of the verses – the fusion of pop and R&B has worked in Jason’s favour.

The video to the song (directed by Colin Tilley) is out now and you can watch Jason showing off his best moves to the song that is now a record breaker. Since its release, ‘Want To Want Me’ has been the most added track in the history of the top 40 radio, which puts him above Justin Timberlake who recently held the record.

“I still can’t believe this ride,” said Jason. “I couldn’t walk two years ago and now I am breaking records.”

Catch Jason performing the hit track at the iHeartRadio music awards in LA on March 29th.
