October 15, 2012 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-Ellisaturday night was a great time for the arts as hundreds of eager parents, siblings, family members and theatre lovers made their way through the doors of Oxford’s New Theatre to watch and support the fourth annual Miss P Fundraiser.
As the Miss P Performers showed the result of their Summer School rehearsals and weekend meet ups in their stage production of musical The Wiz, the night was further enjoyed as Whitney Houston’s classics were once again brought to life with performances from dance schools and classes from the likes of Miss P Family & Friends & Raw Diva hitting the stage, to singers Nina (issue 10) and representatives from BG Records’ Women’s Music Project.
Having originally started the Foundation back in 2009, the team are extremely happy with the growing number of audience members each year, as 2012 saw them successfully pass last years number of 600 people.
Of course this is all down to you the public, some of which became lucky winners of hampers from the raffle on the night, as well as the lucky ticket holder who is now the owner of the latest iPad.
If you missed out on Miss P 2012 and would like to see it or just want a momentum of the night, DVD’s are selling for £10.00 so contact the team at firstname.lastname@example.org if interested. There are also DVD’s available from Miss P 2011.
As everyone involved is still buzzing from an amazing show, we look forward to another great production in 2013. Be sure to keep an eye out for the upcoming Miss P music event over the next few months.
