February 10, 2015 | D&LNas celebrated the 20th anniversary of Illmatic last year and now the US rapper is set to make a return to London, with three live shows!
The Brooklyn, New York artist did perform in London recently, but this was solely to perform hits from his album, Life Is Good. Now, all the focus and attention is solely dedicated to Illmatic and possibly Illmatic XX.
In June 2015, Nas will bring life to one of his most-significant and ‘groundbreaking’ rap albums of all time, as he hits London, Glasgow and Birmingham from June 2nd to the 5th.
Over the years, Nas has gained a lot of fans from the younger generation, who were introduced to the star when he worked alongside Amy Winehouse with ‘Cherry Wine’.
Since then, long-time fans got to see a new side to Nas, with a more laid-back approach to the song’s subject and this was an introduction to new fans who later explored what else the popular rapper was all about.
We got the opportunity to watch Nas live in concert when he was touring his Life Is Good album, and he certainly is different to other artists when it comes to a live performance.
He really is a poet at heart when it comes to his lyrics, honesty, delivery and the way he uses different subject matters to relate to people from different walks of life.
Plus, what is a concert without the live band and stand out visuals? Without giving too much away, Nas is certainly a must-see.
Lucky ticket holders of the Wild Life Festival will also get to see Nas, as he will headline the Disclosure and Rudimental led event.
