March 27, 2013 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-EllisLucy Spraggan sure did capture the hearts of many when she auditioned for the UK X-Factor. She was definitely a unique act and she stuck to her guns as when she reached the live shows, every week she would write her own song and perform for thousands of people in the audience and on live television.
So that is exactly what Lucy will be doing when she hits the stage at Oxford’s O2 Academy on May 7th 2013.
She will be accompanied with her trusty guitar and will be performing a live set of her collection of original material, as well as show casing her improved songwriting skills.
At 21-years-old Lucy has firmly managed to fit herself into her own genre, which she describes as ‘A-Flop’; a mixture of acoustic, folk and hip-hop. And X-Factor hasn’t been her only platform to a music career, as she was announced as the runner up of the Urban, Pop and Acoustic category of Live and Unsigned when she was 20-years-old.
Another success is when Lucy independently released her own album called Top Room At The Zoo back in 2011 and she also accompanied the songs with associated music videos on YouTube. That’s some serious talent right there!
