November 22, 2012 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-EllisReturning to your home country for the Christmas holidays is what many see the festive period as being all about. Particularly when you’re returning to where your talent began with a lot more huge achievements adding to those that you left with.
The same could be said for UK singer and songwriter Marsha Ambrosius, as she holds two concert dates next month in London’s Islington Assembly Hall.
With December 2nd becoming sold out extremely fast, December 19th is the last chance for fans of the soul and rnb singer to see her perform live for her first UK appearance, many would deem as being long overdue.
Since releasing her debut solo album last year, Late Nights, Early Morning has gained Marsha great worldwide recognition, as well as award nominations and wins stemming from her time in the US. These include ‘BET’s Best Female R&B Artist’ and her ultimate win of the network’s Centric Award.
Formerly one half of group Floetry, Marsha has writing credits for many, spanning from before and after her time as a world known star, with just as many appearances on tracks, collaborating with the likes of Busta Rhymes, Wale, Fabolous, Justin Timberlake, Patti LaBelle, Common and even the late Michael Jackson! The list is endless.
With co-writing credits and a feature on Good Music’s Cruel Summer, here’s ‘The One’.
**UPDATE** Unfortunately Marsha’s December appearances were cancelled due to doctor’s orders, but dates were fortunately re-scheduled for this weekend.
With her first performance taking place last night, Marsha will also take to the Islington Assembly Hall tonight (February 25th 2013). Who’s got their tickets?
