October 15, 2014 | D&LAnnie is set to make its movie release this Christmas and Cameron Diaz has revealed the latest news on her role as the infamous Miss Hannigan.
Although Cameron has taken on many acting roles throughout her career, this is the first musical based film that she has had to come to grips with and it seems that singing in front of her co-stars was a big deal.
“It’s not very often you get to do a musical,” said Cameron. “Even though I was terrified of doing it, I kind of had to. The two things I’m most terrified of are heights and singing in front of people.
“I’ve jumped out of airplanes and scaled sides of cliffs – not to get over my fears, but to address them. I just felt like this is something that needed to be addressed. I cried uncontrollably.
“Everybody was so supportive and having fun with it because I was so pathetic, but the only way to get through scary things is to have a sense of humour about it.”
Who knew the fears Cameron had to overcome whilst playing this role!
Check out the latest trailer of the New York adaptation of the movie, starring Jamie Foxx as Benjamin Stacks, Cameron Diaz as Miss Hannigan and Quvenzhane Wallis as Annie, with Jay-Z, Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith on production.
