April 16, 2014 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-EllisJennifer Hudson has already revealed that her up and coming album is very 70’s inspired and her collaboration with Timbaland and J-Roc is the next single to be released from her next project, due to be released in the summer.
With ‘Walk It Out’, Jennifer’s sound takes a different turn as she takes on a new character in this slow jam, with an extra edge; a song that was written by Lyrica Anderson. You will hear a mesh of soul and modern day R&B in the new track and it’s certainly got a personal feel to it as well.
“‘Walk It Out’ reflects the ‘JHud’ in me,” said Jennifer. “Every bit of it is a reminder and a connection of where I come from. Who better to help me reconnect to that than Timbaland and his team? We co-wrote the song together so I’m singing my words. It’s my take; my perspective. It’s my music and I can’t wait to share that with my fans.”
Other collaborations on the album include R.Kelly in ‘It’s Your World’, T.I. with ‘I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel)’, Babyface and Pharrell Williams.
For now, here is ‘Walk It Out’.
