NEW MUSIC MONDAY with Amea, and K Flay

February 26, 2017 | D&L

A new week calls for new music to get you through the week and as much as we love having Stormzy’s GSAP on rotation, we also love being introduced to new artists also doing their thing.

Meet AMEA, a 24 year old R&B and soul singer, who was born in Ohio. Having grown up around a musical family, some may say it was inevitable that she would go on to pursue a career in music.

With influences from the likes of Prince, Miguel and D’Angelo, her aim is to spread her individuality with her music, as well as a message of ‘unity is better than separation’. What’s not to love?

Here’s ‘VayCay’ and hear more from Amea here.

After sharing news of a new album, K FLAY’s sound is a combination of Hip-Hop and Electro sounds, with Rock influences also included. You can expect to hear this fusion on the album, Every Where Is Some Where, which is due for release on April 7th.

The new single ‘Black Wave’ is included on the album’s track list, where she shows her own vibe along with her unique fusion.

Fresh from performing the track, ‘Blood in the Cut’, on hit US show, Conan, and also having toured with the likes of Snoop Dogg, check out ‘Black Wave’ ahead of the album drop.
