January 14, 2013 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-EllisLast week the news that two much loved and missed music acts had returned to the studio and were set to release new music had fans excited and eager to hear what the latest projects meant for the rnb scene.
Of course we’re talking about none other than super group Destiny’s Child and soloist Justin Timberlake.
The last decade has seen Destiny’s Child members Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams work on solo music and performing arts projects since their last group album Destiny Fulfilled was released back in 2004.
Within the next month, we will see the Love Songs album released which includes their new recorded song ‘Nuclear’ included in the track listing and is thought to be the only new track on the upcoming release. The girls’ first performance of the track after their hiatus can be seen at this year’s American Superbowl on February 3rd.
Just like the DC girls, Justin Timberlake has been successful in a group alongside his former N-Sync bandmates, which later led to his solo career and two studio albums Justified and Future Sex/ Love Sounds.
As he turned his skills towards acting, movies such as The Social Network and Friends With Benefits have given fans a chance to see different sides to JT, but as he answers the long lasting question of whether he will be returning to the recording studio with a favoured ‘yes’, we get to witness the reunion of Timberlake and Timberland magic.
Check out his new track with Jay-Z titled ‘Suit & Tie’.
