June 5, 2017 | D&LSunday night’s benefit concert in aid of supporting victims of the Manchester attacks was a huge success!
It was lovely and touching to watch the concert – an incredible show put together in such little time – and it was clear to see that it was an event very close to Ariana Grande’s heart.
Almost 10 million pounds was raised for the Manchester victims and the British Red Cross had received at least £2.35 million in donations by the end of Sunday night’s concert. The generosity of the public is a clear example of many communities coming together to help those in need and that is the message Ariana and her fellow musicians wanted to get across to the world.
Highlights included Ariana herself performing ‘One Last Time’, the song that is now number one following the tragic event, as well as high energy performances from Coldplay, Little Mix, Pharrell and the Black Eyed Peas to name a few.
Although each performance was different, there was just one message on everyone’s mind and that was of unity.
Fans of Ariana and even new admirers of the 23-year-old artist will be remembering this event for a very long time.
