January 25, 2013 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-EllisThis Sunday marks a great achievement and experience for 61 talented performers, as they are taking the opportunity to perform in London’s West End.
Taking to the stage at Her Majesty’s Theatre, the group of 6-17 year olds who are training in areas of tap, contemporary and musical theatre dance, (to name a few) are all pupils of Oxfordshire dance school, Dance Connection (DC) and can’t wait to get involved, particularly as it’s for a great cause.
Class Talent are the hosts for the January 27th event and the charity gala is all in the name of Pop ‘N’ Grow , an organisation who supply special care baby clothing and is ‘the only registered charity who supply medical clothing to children in need for free’.
Compered by special guest and West End star Gary Adam Watson, his presence is an added bonus for those wanting a career on the stage, as Gary definitely has an impressive resume to date. Having starred in West End productions of Les Miserables, Evita and toured internationally with Mamma Mia, Gary is currently appearing in West End’s ‘A Chorus Line’ at the London Palladium.
The DC family will be stunning the audience with their three performances, which include a Whitney Houston tribute, a Best of British medley and a contemporary piece titled ‘Build A Home’.
Showing their versatile skills and passion for the art, they are said to be ‘hyped and ready for an exciting weekend’ ahead, something they have been working hard rehearsing for since October.
Having seen the DC family perform live before ourselves, we’re sure it will be nothing short of a professional West End show performance.
Good luck guys!
