February 17, 2015 | D&LCan you believe we’re discussing 2015 festival season already? With that said, the Parklife festival line up has been announced, with Nas and Wu-Tang Clan included, to provide the sounds of 90s and current hip hop.
On June 6th and 7th, Manchester’s Heaton Park is the place to be, as the event promises to ‘showcase an incredible selection of the best chart-topping live acts and world leading DJs’.
The Warehouse Project presents Disclosure, Rudimental, Ben Howard, George Ezra, Grace Jones, Mark Ronson, Jessie Ware, The Roots, FKA Twigs, Blonde and more, as well as DJs Annie Mac, DJ Rodigan, Waze & Odyssey and DJ EZ, Wookie & DJ Q, to name a few.
Collectively the festival not only showcases the best in music artists, but also the DJs that continue to produce their own music and are responsible for circling the sounds of others along the way. Not forgetting the release of Wu-Tang’s latest album, A Better Tomorrow, marking the end of 2014 for the group, with a career spanning decades. Plus Nas’ latest tour news follows the anniversary edition of his debut album, Illmatic, in the form of Illmatic XX being released.
Whilst on the subject of Rudimental, it was great to hear them reunite with Ed Sheeran to create a new single, following their work on the ‘Drunk Remix’, from Ed’s debut album, x. ‘Blood Stream’, is the new single, with news of an Ed and Fuse ODG collaboration following closely behind.
