Pudsey Bear Gets A Makeover, All In The Name Of Charity

It’s creeping up to that time of year again where the annual Children In Need fundraising event takes place and this year sees not only the hundreds of children experience changes to their lives but timeless mascot Pudsey gets a makeover.

2012 sees Pudsey Bear get a fashionable hand from upto 29 designers as the likes of Alexander McQueen, Prada, Gucci, Victoria Beckham and Tom Ford get involved with some charitable fun.

With a plan to exhibit the bear’s updated look from his signature yellow appearance and one visible eye, exhibitions will be held in London and Manchester at store Selfridges from now until November 14th, where in that time, all designs will be auctioned for sale.

Victoria Beckham’s design sees the birth of the first female Pudsey and Alexander McQueen takes inspiration from the pink Care Bear, creating a glam, flower embellished look.

Mulberry’s suede bear comes complete with a leather satchel and the signature tree logo on the left paw

Louis Vuitton’s take of a bag complete with studs and leather panelling will be a popular choice

Anya Hindmarch’s bear includes glitter, tinsel and bells for a festive touch

Loewe’s two tone design gives a classic feel with a pop of pink colour to add an extra something
