REVIEW: Lianne La Havas At Oxford’s O2 Academy

October 23, 2012 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-Ellis

Last night Lianne La Havas performed at Oxford’s O2 Academy and our L’ART TV singer and issue feature Jael was one of the members in her audience.

Providing her review of the night, here is what BG Record’s Jael had to say: “Watching Lianne La Havas perform at the O2 Academy in Oxfordlast night was a breathtaking experience! Her stage presence was amazing. The way she approached the audience made everyone feel included and instantly made us fall in love with her cheeky and bright personality.

“I loved the way she came across as a girly girl but then started rocking out on her electric guitar, which was inspiring, showing female musicians that they don’t have to stick to one style.

“The atmosphere was so peaceful but at the same time lively. The crowd was silent as she performed her songs as if they wanted to hear every single word and vocal she sang.

“My favourite songs of the night were ‘Is Your Love Big Enough’ and ‘Lost and Found’.

“I also enjoyed watching Lewis Watson perform! I was so amazed to hear that he was from Oxford; his voice reminded me of Ed Sheeran’s! He was amazing. I really liked his song ‘Sink or Swim’. I’d really like to see him go far with his wonderful voice.”
