July 10, 2017 | D&LRihanna may have entered the music scene first, but there is no limit to her talent.
As well as researching movie roles, she has contributed to many fashion collaborations, which include clothing, trainers, jewellery and perfume. Now, she continues to team up with fashion designer, Manolo Blahnik, on a third collection of designer shoes!
Each shoe in the collection has its own unique name and represents the persona behind the heel. The range includes Poison Ivy, Bajan Princess, Spice and Purple Chalice.
The fashion bug was such a natural step for Rihanna as she has been highly into fashion for as long as she can remember. Her mother was always such an iconic figure and role model to her that she inspired her to be just as creative in life.
“I was obsessed with everything she did then, everything she wore, her scent, her shoes, her scarves… That was the glamour I wanted to be a part of,” said Rihanna.
So Stoned, a collection of bejewelled summer sandals, will be the final collaboration between Rihanna and Manolo Blahnik and launches this month.
‘Four styles feature in the So Stoned line; a mid-heeled mule, high-heeled mule, strappy high heel and heeled gladiator. Each is created in PVC so that the straps look almost invisible and the bold Swarovski crystals take centre stage. A Perspex heel adds to the barely there aesthetic.’
Also let’s not forget about her philanthropy work. Her creation of Believe Foundation for terminally ill children, charity concerts, the Clara Lionel Foundation of education programmes and she also had her humanitarian work honoured at Harvard University’s Harvard Foundation back in February this year.
We’re sure there is a lot more this young lady will surprise us with.
