October 2, 2017 | D&LComing through with a new single is, salute, alongside British singer and songwriter, Gabrielle Aplin.
The emering Electronic Pop artist also has producer skills under his belt, and this latest release acts as the perfect follow up to his Summer smash, ‘Light Up’.
It’s now all about, ‘That Girl’, and if the success of ‘Light Up’ is anything to go by, listeners are in for another top streaming hit.
“I’m so stoked to be releasing ‘That Girl’ – it’s a song I started making in the back of our tour bus on a run of European shows last year,” he explains.
After meeting through a mutual friend, salute and Gabrielle had an immediate connection.
“I have a lot of respect for what she does so it was an absolute pleasure to finish the song with her,” he continued. “I’m quite proud of this one so I hope people enjoy it!”
Later on, bouncing creative ideas off of each other led to the track’s birth.
“When salute sent me this track I loved it and wanted to write on it,” Gabrielle said. “I’ve been a fan of his sound for a while so it was great to get the opportunity to collaborate and I’m so happy with how it turned out!”
Working towards his full length debut, salute has two tour dates approaching. Although his Manchester date is sold out, supporters can catch him at London’s, Corsica Studios on Wednesday, February 21st.
In other news, Gabrielle’s, Avalon EP, is out October 6th and includes the lead single, ‘Waking Up Slow’.
