February 13, 2013 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-EllisThis is still being discussed and finalised but it’s looking pretty solid that Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake will be joining forces in a tour this summer!
The two music artists are set to tour over a course of 11 to 13 dates performing their solo hits, as well as their recent collaborations, including ‘Suit & Tie’.
The pair are no strangers to performing together as recently Jay-Z has supported Justin on his recent return to the stage. Over the Superbowl weekend, Justin made his first musical appearance in almost five years with Jay-Z by his side and they also put on a great show at the Grammy Awards. So just imagine what an experience their planned tour with more time, equipment and special effects will be like.
Not much has been said at the moment but Justin did give a slight hint at the Grammy’s saying: “We’re definitely going to go on tour. I don’t know how much I should say. It’s going to be a lot of fun, I know that.”
However, he did give a lot more insight into the work that went into his up and coming album The 20/20 Experience and his working partnership with Timbaland. “We encapsulated ourselves in the studio and I didn’t tell anybody,” said Justin.
“I was just like, ‘Let’s make some music without all the hoopla of, like expectations. Let’s just make something that feels genuine from us’. And I’m glad we were able to do it that way because, for me, it’s the best stuff I’ve ever done.”
That’s certainly a very big and confident statement. The 20/20 Experience is set for release on March 19th and we can’t wait to hear the finished product!
