Stefflon Don is the first honouree for Apple Music’s Class of 2018

January 20, 2018 | D&L

We’re just under a month into the new year and it looks like it couldn’t have started any better for Stefflon Don.

Just announced as Apple Music’s ‘Up Next’ Artist for January, the rapper, singer and songwriter is the first artist to be announced for the class of 2018.

The good news and achievements don’t stop there, as she’ll also feature in a new documentary short film to match, as well as take part in an exclusive Beats 1 interview with Julie Adenuga.

“Conversations with Steff are always exciting and hilarious. She doesn’t do a lot of interviews, and I learn more about her every time we talk,” said the Beats 1 anchor. “She’s extremely talented, and has the ability to make any style of music she likes without losing the magic of who she is.”

Did we mention Steff also recently made her US national tv debut on The Late Late Show with James Corden?

Following single releases ‘Hurtin Me’, ‘Ding-a-Ling’ and her features on Jax Jones’ ‘Instruction’ and MC Fioti’s ‘Bum Bum Tam Tam’ remix, Steff’s work to date continues to see her as a leading female when it comes to the UK music scene, with a headline tour and also signing her V-IV London label to Universal Records also up there as big successes.

As big fans of Steff’s (we had the Real Ting mixtape on repeat for weeks) her journey has been great to witness.

“I am really excited to be the new ‘Up Next’ Artist. Julie, Zane, Ebro and everyone at Beats 1 have been there with me from the start, and it’s great to be the first British artist to get this support from Apple Music,” she said. “Can’t wait for you all to hear what I have coming this year! Its gonna be a mad ting!”
