The BRIT Awards’ Greatest Winners

February 21, 2013 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-Ellis

o, who was your favourite performer last night at the BRIT’s? And who was the most deserving winner?

Well, Emeli Sande and Frank Ocean sure did stand out for us! It has been another great year for Emeli as she has stepped into the limelight and is being recognised for her own solo career, as well as her song writing skills for other artists. After winning Best British Female Solo Artist and Best British Album for Our Version Of Events, she was ready to celebrate at the Roc Nation after party.

And who wasn’t standing up to give Frank Ocean the applause he deserved? When winning the award for Best International Male Solo Artist, his speech touched the hearts of everyone who attended.

Those are our two highlights of the night but regardless of who your personal winners are, it’s safe to say that every nominee deserved to be recognised for their work in music over the past year!

The Brits have now been running for more than 30 years and it’s always nice to see new artists join those who are continuing to produce and enjoy a successful music career. It must be one of the ultimate goals for many to earn their seat at an awards ceremony that they grew up watching and observing their favourite performers. Now the roles have reversed and they’re the ones with fans watching them. Hard work sure does pay off!

One artist in particular that many viewers were looking forward to see was Justin Timberlake, and didn’t he put on a good show? 2013 sure is his year for his return in music with everything ranging from TV awards, live shows, tours and even festivals!

This week music lovers were filled with excitement about the news of Justin and Jay-Z headlining this year at London’s Wireless Festival. Have you got your ticket yet? Image Source: Daily Record
