June 5, 2013 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-EllisLondon’s Jazz Cafe are constantly bringing you some of the freshest artists on the music scene, as well as those who have paved the way for some of the music that you hear today. The Jazz Cafe have a great example of some of these artists, as Jean Grae, Eric Benet and Clement Marfo, Josh Kumra & Phreeda Sharp will all be gracing that stage this month!
Take the opportunity to see a trio of artists in one night – June 6th – as Clement Marfo will be performing with support from Josh Kumra and Phreeda Sharp. ‘2012 was a phenomenal year for the electric London rapper, Clement Marfo. Performances at Reading, Leeds and Wireless, winning Best Group at the Urban Music Awards and debut single, ‘Champion’ being used for The Olympics, WWE Royal Rumble and the NFL Superbowl were among the many highlights.’
‘Now Clement Marfo is taking his much hyped live show back on the road.’ Plus with special guests who each have a budding career of their own, the chemistry these three have on stage will be amazing.
So the demand for Eric Benet has been so high that an extra date has been added to his stop in London. Incredible! The R&B singer, songwriter and actor has three dates at the venue, performing live from June 22nd – June 24th 2013.
‘R&B crooner, songwriter and actor Eric Benét has successfully released six albums, including his 2012 album featuring hits ‘Real Love’, ‘Harriett Jones’ and ‘News for You’. Very appropriately named, Benét’s latest album The One marked a moment of positive transition in his life and lyrically spoke to the many new beginnings developing in his career and family.
‘The One was also the first album released on Benét’s newly formed record label Jordan House Records, which he created in partnership with EMI. Eric Benét was also nominated for a Grammy Award in 2012 and a Soul Train Award for “Best Male R&B/Soul Artist†in 2011.
‘He also performed during the award show’s tribute to Earth, Wind & Fire, which aired November 27th on BET.’ That’s just a small fraction of why Eric’s music is loved by so many people. You’ll have to hear him sing live to learn the rest!
