The Miss P Foundation Need YOU For ‘The Wiz’

April 12, 2012 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-Ellis

The Miss P Fundraiser (MPF) are putting on a huge stage production for the fourth annual show by dedicating the first half of the show to The Wiz; the African American adaptation of The Wizard Of Oz that originally starred Michael Jackson and Diana Ross. The spectacular performance will include main characters including Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tinman, Lion, Glinda The Good (Witch) and more.

If you are aged 14 and upwards, enjoy singing, acting and dancing, then this is the perfect time for you to help them find some of their main cast during their open auditions, on April 29th 2012 at 1:30pm at Pegasus Theatre, Oxford.

If you want to go for this great opportunity then email the team at themisspfoundation@gmail.com with your name and contact number.

You will need to bring a monologue with you from any stage musical (but don’t let this put you off attending, it’s just a chance for you to show off your talent through your acting) and at least two bars from two songs so they can hear the range in your voice.

The Miss P Foundation are hoping to involve as many schools and performers as possible in this production including an energetic ballet school to perform the focal hurricane sequence in the show. Could this be you?

Good luck to all who are attending!

Here’s a popular song from the movie.
