August 2, 2013 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-EllisWith the financial troubles the city of Detroit, Michigan have been having of late, it was nice to see one of today’s most loved music artists reach out and honour the music location in its time of need.
As Beyonce’s Mrs Carter Show stopped off in the place that gave birth to Motown, she took a moment to acknowledge the city’s current struggle and in doing so she put even bigger smiles on the faces of her audience as she paid homage to artist’s such as Aaliyah, Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder, who all call Detroit their home.
With her own rendition of Sam Cooke’s ‘Change Gonna Come’, her positive message can be heard below in the video made and inspired from Bey’s touching performance.
