September 13, 2017 | D&LFollowing the release of his debut album, BBC radio 1Xtra DJ and producer, Charlie Sloth soon announced news of his UK tour.
Much to the excitement of his followers, The Plug tour is set to hit 10 cities, with some of the UK’s hottest Grime and Rap artists who were featured on the project, also expected to be joining him on stage.
“This is the biggest UK Rap music has ever been and I’m gonna bring some of the sickest rap artists to a city near you,” he said about the upcoming events.
“If you’re about the culture this is one show u don’t wanna miss”.
Kick starting things off this month and continuing into October, venues include o2 academies in Leeds, Oxford, London, Liverpool, Leicester, Bournemouth, Bristol, Sheffield, Birmingham’s o2 Institute, and Glasgow’s o2 ABC. With a big night planned for London’s o2 Forum Kentish Town, the event takes place in collaboration with VK, and will mark a new era in Charlie Sloth’s career.
Currently well known as a DJ and for his, Fire in the Booth segments, the Grime conoisseur is ready to establish himself as an artist and producer, with The Plug being his first piece of material in his transition, seeing him produce and co write the whole project. Having been a producer for others from Rodney P to Giggs over the past ten years, the album and tour will embody all that Charlie represents.
Expect to see the likes of Yungen, Bugzy Malone, Fekky, Abra Cadabra, Not3s, K Koke, and some surprise guests over the duration of the tour, with breaking talents possibly set for the stage too.
