The Queen of Soul Is Honoured At Princeton

The legendary Queen of Soul music has been made a Doctor of the art at one of America’s best known campus’ for further education; Princeton University.

Aretha Franklin was honoured by the New Jersey school over the weekend and with a career spanning over 40 years, this event was made all the more special as the singer and music icon recently turned 70 years old.

Having released 38 studio albums and already given recognition in places such as the Rock and Roll and Gospel Halls of Fame, today Aretha is definitely reminding you why she earnt the title of Queen.

From ‘Respect’, ‘(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman’ and ‘I Never Loved A Man (The Way I Love You)’, her endless list of hits are enjoyed by generations of yesterday and today.
