December 7, 2012 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-EllisThe Spirit of London Awards (SOLA) take place next week, getting the week off to a great start celebrating the exceptional achievements of young people who are seen as champions of their local community.
Monday December 10th will see London’s o2 Arena fill with stars and lucky ticket holders of the public, as they can look forward to seeing the likes of Labrinth, Chase & Status, Stooshe, Diversity, Maverick Sabre and Angel attend as nominees and some even set to perform, showing you just why they’re being honoured this year.
With the event being about the arts of music, art, fashion, entrepreneurism and sport, we couldn’t give up the opportunity to spread the word as that is what we’re all about.
Making the moment that extra bit special will be the presence of a handful of this year’s Olympic and Paralympic medallists. London 2012’s winners will be presenting awards to fellow winners throughout the celebratory night.
The SOLA were originally set up in memory of Damilola Taylor, a 12 year old boy who lost his life to violence. The trust is not only creating a legacy for him and other young people who have lost their life in a similar way, but helps create a positive platform, not allowing for their deaths to be in vain.
We’re sure it’s going to be a great night for all involved.
