Three Cheers For Jahmene Douglas

August 5, 2013 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-Ellis

Just over a week ago, X-Factor finalist Jahmene topped the UK album charts with his debut release Love Never Fails and today sees the soul and gospel artist remain high in UK, Irish and Scottish charts.

The 22 year old X-Factor finalist was signed to Sony following his show exit, as he departed as a highly talented and loved runner up to winner James Arthur.

Capturing audiences with his wide vocal range, sweet personality and being able to relate to the public in overcoming such events in his personal life, Jahmene certainly didn’t lose in the nation’s eyes.

With features from his mentor Nicole Sherzinger and the Motown and soul singing legend Stevie Wonder himself, Jahmene includes covers from Whitney Houston, Beyonce and Emeli Sande, as well his ‘Titanium’ single release by David Guetta on the track listing, which includes some of his favourites to perform from the show series.

“Nicole knew this would be one of my favourite songs (Whitney’s ‘The Greatest Love Of All’). And when she sang it with me on the final it was like singing with my big sister. She’s so incredibly talented. This song and Nicole ooze class.”

With the majority of sales made from album buys being donated to domestic abuse campaigns, Jahmene continues to see him excel in his role as an ambassador for Women’s Aid.
