Throwback Thursday: Diddy

Throwback Thursday: Diddy

March 12, 2015 | D&L

It’s been a while since we’ve heard Diddy on his own solo material, but now news has broken that the music mogul will be returning to the studio! Diddy is returning to his first love; producing.

There was a time when Diddy was collaborating with all the hottest Hip-Hop and R&B artists, just as much as you’re hearing ‘Mustard on the beat’ nowadays. As the main man of Bad Boy Records, if ever you needed a record with a smooth feel to it, Diddy was your guy.

With artists including Mase, Faith Evans, Lil Kim, Loon, Mario Winans and B.I.G. as part of his team, Diddy is now set to collaborate with some new artists for the year. Kanye West, The Weeknd and Pusha T are all working on some new albums to be released this year (or next) and Diddy will be producing some of their future work! Did you know he produced Kanye’s new single ‘All Day’?

“The rumours are true,” said Diddy as he addressed fans commenting on his latest news. “It’s been a long time since I had been really focused on producing music. My first love. It’s the type of love that will never go away!”

But we’ve been told by Diddy himself that he will be back for 12 months only and in that time he will also work with the likes of Cassie and A$AP Ferg. Plus, expect a new solo album titled MMM, following his last release in 2010 with Diddy Dirty Money’s Last Train to Paris.

Though music may be his first love, Diddy hasn’t remained quiet on other business deals, such as his Ciroc vodka line, Revolt TV and hosting his annual parties.

Here’s a throwback with ‘Tell Me’ featuring Christina Aguilera and production by Just Blaze.
